Naturfatura é uma exposição composta por uma série de trabalhos escultóricos e um conjunto de desenhos de grande formato. As obras de Naturfatura inserem-se numa prática através da qual Catarina Leitão tem vindo a propor a ideia de um continuidade absoluta e não-hierárquica entre os conceitos de humano, natureza, artifício e cultura.
Em Naturfatura, os desenhos representam anotações possíveis e constituem-se como fabulações sobre uma ideia de observação científica nas quais a artista funde formas, noções e sensações dos universos do orgânico, do manufaturado, da geologia e da botânica. Por sua vez, as esculturas dão continuidade à exploração destes elementos, expandindo os desenhos em construções híbridas que materializam misturas e estabelecem um diálogo com a corporalidade do espaço.

Naturfatura is an exhibition comprised by a series of sculptural works and a set of large-format drawings. The works in Naturfatura are part of a practice through which Catarina Leitão has been proposing the idea of an absolute and non-hierarchical continuity between the concepts of human, nature, artifice and culture.
In Naturfatura, the drawings represent possible annotations and become fabrications on an idea of scientific observation in which the artist fuses forms, notions and sensations from the universes of the organic, the manufactured, the geology and the botany. In turn, the sculptures continue the exploration of these elements, expanding the drawings into hybrid constructions that materialize mixtures and establish a dialogue with the corporeality of space.
